Charlie Dickman has been a recognized leader in courtrooms throughout Missouri and Kansas and has built an exceptional record of success. Throughout his career in law, Charlie has routinely handled high-profile, high-stakes litigation. He’s been recognized in Super Lawyers Magazine as a “Rising Star” in Missouri in 2009, 2010, and 2011 and has been named to The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40 for 2012, 2013, and 2014.
In 2006 Charlie Dickman successfully litigated a personal injury case in the Circuit Court of Platte County, Missouri, that resulted in a settlement for his client in excess of one million dollars. This was one of the largest personal injury settlements in county history.
In a high-profile case in January 2008, Charlie Dickman, represented the parents of a local Clay County boy who had died in a horrific drowning incident. Mr. Dickman was able to secure through litigation the maximum settlement recoverable by law against a Missouri school district.
In October 2007, Charlie Dickman represented a defendant in a high-profile murder and rape trial in the Circuit Court of Platte County, Missouri. As reported in the local newspaper, the Platte County Landmark, at the conclusion of the week-long trial, the Judge praised Mr. Dickman’s work in the courtroom.
Charlie Dickman’s clients have included the Platte County, Missouri, County Commission; a construction subcontractor with over forty employees; one of the nation’s largest insurance companies; and hundreds of individuals throughout the state of Missouri.
In 2006, Charlie Dickman successfully defended a civil lawsuit representing an insured of one of the nation’s largest insurance companies. While the other defendant settled for $80,000.00, Mr. Dickman negotiated a settlement of a land sale that pleased his client and saved the insurance company thousands of dollars.
After graduating from law school, Charlie Dickman joined the law firm of Brown & James, P.C., one of the state’s largest insurance defense law firms. At Brown & James, Charlie gained valuable experience in the courtroom in the area of insurance defense.
During law school Mr. Dickman clerked for the Law Firm of Curran & Clifford, PC, in Osage Beach, Missouri. While at Curran and Clifford, Mr. Dickman second-chaired both bench and jury trials with Attorney John Curran. Mr. Dickman second-chaired a week-long jury trial in the Circuit Court of St. Louis City defending a Lake of the Ozark realtor in a civil lawsuit. The jury returned the defendant’s verdict within thirty minutes at the end of the week-long trial.
